108 Marylebone Lane

Just a short walk from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street and you will find a trendy oasis tucked away at the end of Marylebone Lane. As you step from the chilly winter air into the warmth of this bar and brasserie you can’t help but sigh with pleasure.
Elegant, warm and welcoming, with a low hum of chatter, soft music and the tinkle of wine glasses, the 108 restaurant provides the perfect atmosphere for a cosy dinner for two, a few after work drinks or a meal with family and friends.

The food is utterly divine and there is something to suit every taste. I started the evening with the terrine of smoked and confit chicken, followed by a palate cleanser of champagne sorbet with pears. I then chose the lamb shank with root vegetables and rosemary sauce, and finished with a selection of ice creams and sorbet. Yum. The meal was accompanied by a rather nice bottle of Spanish red as recommended by our informed and passionate waiter.
The superb menu changes with the seasons and uses produce from local suppliers including The Ginger Pig and Biggles Sausages. The new chef, Norman Farquharson, who has transformed this hotel restaurant, also informed us that he has great plans for the coming years, making this gorgeous little find one to watch for the future.
