Ping Pong the london daily

First it was pianos, then it was elephants. Now it’s ping pong tables that are popping up all around the streets of London. One hundred tables will be situated in popular landmarks, notable squares, shopping centres, parks and even train stations and airports so you can get your competitive juices flowing when you’re out and about.

Free to dabble or challenge as you please, numerous special events are also taking place to celebrate ‘Ping’– the next event being Passport to Pingland on Saturday (24 Jul) where you can win yourself a free bat if you complete the three challenges.

Other events that you can get involved in is the Literary Ping Pong Quiz at the British Museum, (30 Jul, 12.30pm) or Singles for Singles at Golden Square (12 Aug, 6.30–8.30pm) to perhaps find love on court. You can even warble in ping pong worship at the ‘ping-a-long’ in Victoria Embankment Gardens, 20 Aug, 6.30–7.30pm.

If you would like to take your love of ping pong that little bit further, why don’t you hold your own ping pong extravaganza by visiting www.pinglondon/events. (Also visit for full programme of events).
